For general cleaning of your floor, Floormania suggests that a lightly dampened mop be used over the entire floor surface. Do not mop your floor with excessive water. We stock a number of different cleaning solutions, mops and protective felt pads which all can be attained from any of our stores.

Small stones, dirt and grit are abrasive to the floor’s finish. Floormania suggests that door mats or small rugs be used at entrances and high traffic areas. Protective felt pads should also be attached under all furnishings. In times of moving and rearranging, this will help prevent scratching and indentation of the floor.

It is very important to maintain a reasonably stable indoor temperature and humidity range. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause discolorations on the floor.
Avoid this by covering windows and doors with blinds or curtains.
