Turpentine

Block parquetry can be laid in any pattern and is only limited by the imagination. Contrasting coloured timbers are used to create depth in the design. It is an extremely durable floor covering, making it the perfect solution for heavy traffic areas such as halls, steps, and entrance ways. As well as this, the natural insulation properties of timber lock out winter’s cold and summer’s heat.

A timeless flooring option, parquetry continues to be a popular for homes that are interested in upgrading the existing flooring due to its durability and intricate design options. Similar to hardwood flooring, parquetry’s head wearing surface prevents scratches and normal wear and tear from deteriorating the material’s integrity. The aesthetic appeal of parquetry flooring is not limited to the raw material’s unique aesthetic appearance, however; parquetry’s installation possibilities are extremely versatile and add to the easy customisation of these floors. Available in thicknesses of 14 and 19 millimeters, the planks are laid individually to build unique patterns, and often more than one type of timber is used to build various designs. Although parquetry offers a variety of design options, some of the most popular include square, brick bond, heritage, abbot, and basket weave patterns. Because each plank is installed individually, parquetry floors are easily installed as an upgrade over concrete, plywood, timber, or laminate flooring.
